To Dubai and Back…
The weeks are absolutely flying by, and are busier than ever! Dubai was a great success. Apart from being a very productive visit work-wise, it was also a great pleasure, largely due to the wonderful people I met there.
Dr Faye, CEO and founder of CS MC, was a wonderful host, and all those close to him were equally welcoming; I felt at home from the first moment. It just goes to show that human gems can be found all over the globe – making life even richer! Though of course I missed Frank and the dogs, it was a wonderful trip all around. I look forward to returning at the end of February for my executive education programmes.
Since I returned I’ve been extremely busy working on the Dubai projects, my two upcoming Foodbank UK challenges and on my training. To top it off I have just had a speaking engagement, and have another one booked for this Monday. Yesterday I was invited as a guest speaker at IESE Business School in Barcelona for a group of almost forty top-level international executives, in their AMP programme. It was a pleasure sharing my experiences with them; they were a lively and receptive group.
My training is on the rise again; today I ran my first long run of the season, and of the year – 50 km along the coast, starting at 5.30 am. I was lucky enough to have the company of Quim and Fede for the first 18 km – as always we didn’t stop talking for a moment! A bit further along the way I met another runner, Josep, a pleasant surprise indeed. I shared 5 km or so with him. It was a great start to the season.
Have a good weekend all of you, and welcome back to my website. Frank and I will kick off the weekend with a delicious raclette!
One step more!
A Happy 2012 to all!
I have had a wonderful and very busy start to the New Year – I wish everyone a happy, healthy, successful and challenging 2012!
I’ll be writing from Dubai next week.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Home for Christmas
We arrived home safely from Denmark despite our various car problems – just in time for Christmas!
This evening our very special friend Mare arrives from Dublin to share these wonderful days with us.
This morning I enjoyed a super 42 km trot along the coast, and had the pleasure of sharing the first few km with Fede. It was our last run together before the end of the year.
With carols playing and the tree decorated, I’m thoroughly enjoying the countdown to Christmas!
